I highly recommend this place to anyone. I was there for 4 weeks. People and staff are awesome and they will help you with anything they can. Great food too and plenty of time to chill!

My experience at gateway was excellent I felt very welcomed and James that's works the front desk is awesome and a positive person to talk to and be around.

Gateway in Springfield is the best facility I have ever been to. From staff to the ones that do your addmisson over the phone they are the most understanding and respectful people and will do whatever they can to help you. I was taking back by the staff that work there from the man that greets you, how polite he was to the nurses that will do what they can to help. And this all starts with they head people in charge. I can honstley say that if it wasn't for the people at gateway from the bottom to the top I would not be where I am today. They have very many resources resources after you complete the program I would highly suggest Gateway to any one that might be struggling with any type if substance abuse.

This is the absolutely best rehab in illinois. Ive been to 4 since i was 18 and this is the most helpful in all there department's... All the staff is great and really want to help you with your problems.. The food is great and the rec time is on point as well. I would recommend this for any addict want to make a change and better them selfs..

Gateway in Springfield changed my life!! All of the staff are amazing!! You get out what you put into your rehabilitation!! Gateway gave me the tools to change every single aspect of my life, not just my addiction!! And there isn't 12 year old kids cooking the food!! They might be serving the food and doing the dishes 1 day a week!! And it's good for them to do that because it teaches them responsiblity!

Not what I was led to believe, they say a holistic approach, but it is hard to get to the weight room or outside at all ( you have to fill out a request form), and then told we are understaffed today. They change rules at will, a lot of verbal dehumanizing, 80% of the staff are great but the others are power hungry and treat their clients like little kids. $775.00 a day , if you have insurance you can get in right away. Many clients are stuck there because they need the Certificate of Completion for their employers, so they are at the mercy of the counselors and staff, usually strung along for 30 - 40 days. I was about two weeks, some days a dozen people would bail. I would recommend a Detox Center, you will be out in 4-5 days, ready to start living sober. It is a 501-3c tax exempt corporation, and definitely all about MONEY!

This place is the best around that takes med card...and those who want something negative will find it as those looking for help will find it too. Anyone who's complaining obviously hasn't been around too much to know most places don't care about clients to much this place made me feel like a person again who's got potential for first time in years . I've been round Illinois to rehabs​ never stayed once till gateway they do there best to us feel hope ,part of something good instead of the worst I've been round far to long. I've never had anything bad to say about this place this last time I was there 25days n left early three days early from completion.id relayed my issue since arrival yet as I was preparing to leave counselor in short told me he'd taken care of it never did ...spoke three times never helped me w anything so I decided to go n regret it but this stay for few weeks verses for three months was vastly different I gained the most from c1as for counselor I'd aquired dissatisfied n a politically correct way . Two years ago I'd never said anything negative cause it is after all what you make of it as most things in life but environment wise n staff awesome but as most n life will always have some set backs I just wish it hadn't been at a time when I was trying to get it right not leave but no matter what I said to him it wasn't done consequencially I went to jail had to bond four thousand dollars for something he'd supposedly taken care of the first week I was there . Those seeking help "really" seeking help this is the place that allows you to get it n treated me as a person should be which by the way hasn't happened to often in these types of facilities so if this place wasn't for some I highly recommend it for those who honestly want help changing their life .things changed from two years ago and honestly I liked it better last time but I had awesome counselor opposed to this time when I couldn't get help w major issues even when asked for help as for the attention seekers they got theirs mine n someone else's time but as whole still awesome place just few incompetent people ...n overworked staff who come just to help so all these complainers need to get real we are addicts n probably been far worse n expect people to cater for you doing the right thing for a minute come on .

I enjoyed my stay at gateway they made me feel very welcome and helped me in many ways.... the staff here is amazing they made me feel very comfortable and I believe that if I ever need these services again this will b the place I choose...

carrie is great she takes time out to try to help the teen and even called me to try to see what she could do better to help him!!!
